Freddy Shaviv
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Shaviv previously served as CEO of ChemAgis and as VP of Agis Industries (Perrigo). Prior to that , Mr. Shaviv held management positions in Teva’s R&D division. Currently Mr. Shaviv serves as Director on Boards of several companies in the biotech field. He has a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering from the Technion and an M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from Ben Gurion University.
Marina Kleiman
DSc, PhD, Vice President Life Sciences
Having joined Optimata in 2005, Dr. Kleiman is responsible for all biomedical aspects of Optimata projects and clinical trials, as well as scientific and technological development. Dr. Kleiman brings to Optimata comprehensive expertise in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, clinical diagnostics, theoretical medicine and chemistry. One of her main areas of focus is Theranostics and biomarkers.
Prior to joining Optimata, Dr. Kleiman held several academic positions both in Israel and in Russia. She served as senior scientist in the Department of Biochemistry, Hebrew University of Jerusalem Hadassah Medical School (2003–2005), where she was also a post doctorate fellow in 2002. In Russia she served as a senior scientist in the Department of Fundamental and Clinical Biochemistry with Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics at Samara State University of Medicine (1998–2002); and a senior scientist in the Department of Chemistry, Samara State Academy of Agriculture (1997–1998).
Dr Kleiman holds a Doctor of Science (IV degree) in Biology (Biochemistry), PhD in Biology (Biochemistry), MSc in Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, MSc in Biology and Chemistry, and an MSc in Economics, Accounting and Auditing. She has more than 40 publications to her credit and authored a book in Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics.
Cornel Lustig
PhD, Vice President Technology Development
Dr. Cornel Lustig is responsible for the evolution of Optimata’s technology and its models and applications. He brings to Optimata an in-depth knowledge of building, implementing and optimizing large simulations of non-linear systems, in biological applications together with extensive industrial experience in performing and managing complex interdisciplinary projects.
Prior to joining Optimata, Dr. Lustig worked in the Israeli Hi-tech, in a variety of senior R&D and management roles with companies such as Applied Materials, Elscint, ALD and Lumen Computerized Systems.
Dr. Lustig earned his PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot for a work on modeling biological phenomena in neurobiology. He was a post-doctorate fellow at UCSD (University of California, San Diego USA). Dr. Lustig holds an MSc (with honors) in Computer Science from the Technion Institute of Technology, Haifa. Dr. Lustig is author and co-author of more then 20 publications.
Dr. Lustig joined Optimata in 2006.
Einat Galamidi-Cohen
MD, MSc, Vice President product development
Dr. Galamidi is responsible for Optimata's product development process, involving the the navigation of clinical development and repurposing of clinical oncology compounds. She brings to Optimata a broad scope of knowledge and experience spanning basic biology research & discovery, pre-clinical development and medical affairs, including medical and technological aspects of business development.
Prior to joining Optimata, Dr. Galamidi operated as CTO of AngioB Ltd., and of NovoTyr Therapeutics Ltd., and Vice President of R&D at Chiasma Inc.
Dr. Galamidi holds an M.D. from the Hadassah Medical School at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and M.Sc. in developmental biology.
