Optimata Ltd. is a privately held bio-pharmaceutical company aiming at accelerating the long and costly process of drug development. Our innovative solution, Optimata Virtual Patient, is a biomathematics-based predictive software, enabling enhanced navigation of drug development towards a highly competitive market profile.

Founded in 2000 by Prof. Zvia Agur, a renowned biomathematician and pioneer in the field of disease control modeling, Optimata wields unsurpassed scientific strength and outstanding expertise in cancer and infectious diseases. Its interdisciplinary team includes experts in biology, pharmacology, medicine, biomathematics, operations research and software development.

Optimata has developed a family of proprietary mathematical algorithms, which simulate the dynamics of key biological and pathological processes in patients undergoing drug treatment. These simulations facilitate quantitative assessment of drug effects on the disease, in conjunction with different aspects of its side effects. Optimata Virtual Patient applies this technology to recommend improved treatment, including improved schedules, combination therapies, safety profiles and optimal pairing of clinical indications and patient-populations for given drug candidates. Optimata Virtual Patient has been successfully validated in a series of clinical trials in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
